Rising emo-rap artist POORSTACY has tragically died in Florida at the age of 26.
The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner confirmed the heartbreaking news to TMZ, reporting that the musician died “after being taken to a local hospital for a medical emergency” from a hotel early Saturday morning.
A hotel employee in Boca Raton told the outlet that the artist (born Carlito Milfort) had been staying at the property for 10 days and had “checked in with a woman and a child.” No one else was taken to the hospital, and no additional injuries were reported.
Authorities have not yet released the cause of his death.
The young rapper-singer had built up a devoted following and teamed up with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker on several tracks, cementing his place as one of the most exciting new voices to emerge from the emo-rap scene.
Of their three songs together, their 2020 track, Choose Life, from their album, The Breakfast Club, received the biggest success.
