Quentin Tarantino may have had a different reaction to Mel Gibson passion of christ Compared to most people. Speaking on the Bret Easton Ellis Podcast, Tarantino recalled watching the Biblical epic and getting agitated during the scenes in which the Romans brutalize Jesus. Ok.
Quentin Tarantino explains his response to the Passion of Christ
,I had this moment while I was watching the movie. You’re watching this guy get fucked as hard as you’ve ever seen the main character in a movie,Tarantino said.It’s a scene that’s almost as bad as anything that happens later, when the Roman soldiers beat him with sticks, flog him, and they actually kill him before that happens. He is tied there; It’s going to be bad, and they’re motherf***ers. I mean, they look like the worst cops you’ll ever see in your life. And they’re testing it, and they’re moving it around – you’re like, ‘Oh my God, this is going to be terrible.’ And he’s stretching it, stretching it – and then it starts happening.,
Tarantino continued, “and then it’s like this whamAnd you feel it. And then this is another one, whamAnd like, three, four, five times, and you feel every stroke, By the sixth stroke, I traded places, And I was now a Roman, And I started getting kind of aroused by the beating, But I’m not defeating Jesus, ,,,I became a Roman, and suddenly began to be whipped, I was in a hurry for it, And I couldn’t believe I was feeling this way, But I was feeling it,,
Bret Easton Ellis responded, “I react to violence, I think differently than you.,
Tarantino said that he met with Mel Gibson several times and told him about his unique reaction. ,He looked at me like I was crazy,” He said. “Of course, he doesn’t understand where I’m coming from. And I don’t know if anyone else will.Tarantino admitted that it felt as if he “just being distorted,” But “Excessive violence is ridiculous to me.Overall, they found passion of christ gang up”extremely pleasant experience,“And Gibson has one”Wonderful Directing work.,
When will the sequel to The Passion of the Christ be released?
gibson is in the middle of shooting resurrection of christwhich will actually be split into two parts part One ready for release on 26 March 2027 (Good Friday), and part Two will move ahead 6 May 2027 (Ascension Day). Jim Caviezel was initially expected to return as Jesus, with some digital tricks used to age him, but as production began, it was revealed that the role had been recast. Jaakko Ohtonen (Vikings: Valhalla) will play the role of Jesus with Mariela Garriga (Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning) as Mary Magdalene. We have to be prepared for Tarantino’s reaction to that.
