Proposed R360 series delays launch until 2028

R360, a proposed global rugby series targeting the game’s top stars, has had its launch date pushed back two years to 2028, raising doubts over the project’s feasibility.

“The decision to move our launch to 2028 is a strategic decision based on timing,” said R360 board member and former England center Mike Tindall.

“Launching under a compressed timeline will not meet the standards we have set for the R360, nor will it provide long-term commercial impact for the game.”

The eight leading Test nations, along with the British and Irish Lions, have banned any R360 recruit from combining the new venture with their international career.
