The Pistons have a chance to set a franchise record by winning their 14th consecutive game when they visit the Celtics for the NBA Cup game on Wednesday.
Detroit extended its winning streak to 13 games with a 122-117 win at Indiana on Monday.
“I don’t want to be dismissive and I understand what an accomplishment it is and how rare and unique it is, but our focus has to be on Wednesday, practice and film (Tuesday),” Detroit coach JB Bickerstaff said after Monday’s win.
The Celtics will be without center Neemias Queta as he exited Sunday’s game against Orlando with a left ankle sprain in the first quarter and did not return. Luka Garza may get more playing time in Cueta’s absence.
Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. on the Green Park at TD Garden. Here’s your preview.
