Portable Sonos Play speaker leaks on Canadian Best Buy

An unannounced Sonos speaker called Play has been spotted on a Canadian Best Buy site. The Sonos Play looks like a slightly shrunken version of the Move 2, with a loop on the back for carrying it around. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, it is listed at CAD $399.99 with a release date of March 31, 2026. In addition to Wi-Fi, there’s support for AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth 5.3 for multi-room Sonos setups with up to 32 speakers. There’s also an aux in for connecting to a turntable or other audio equipment.

The Best Buy list mentions TruePlay, which automatically adjusts the sound according to your surroundings. Unlike the Move, the Play says it’s IP67 rated for waterproof and dustproof operation, similar to the Sonos Roam. Additionally, battery life is listed at 24 hours, and the Sonos Play includes a wireless charging base. Supposedly, it can also work as a power bank, charging your phone over USB-C.

If that release date is accurate, it won’t be long before Sonos officially takes the wraps off.
