(Warning: The following contains spoilers for Episode 5 Pluribus“Got Milk,” which premiered at the beginning of Thanksgiving.)

Pluribus Didn’t kill all the lawyers. The fifth episode of Vince Gilligan’s new sci-fi series includes a surprise voice cameo appearance better call SaulPatrick Fabian – and even Pluribus star and partner saul Former student Rhea Seehorn was shocked when she heard from her former co-star in the scene.

Seehorn did not know until the cameras were rolling that the outgoing message would be presented by Patrick Fabian, who played Seehorn’s Kim Wexler’s former boss, attorney Howard Hamlin. better call Saul“They were expecting me to do some kind of blooper take, but I was too afraid to mess up the take,” she said, “Not scared, but I didn’t want to do it – because I knew it would take a lot of time the first time she hears it,”

Much of the crew had previously worked with both Seehorn and Fabian. Like better call Saul and its predecessor, breaking bad, Pluribus Shooting takes place primarily in Albuquerque, and its creative team is filled with longtime collaborators from Vince Gilligan’s previous series (including “Got Milk” writer Ariel Levin and director Gordon Smith). This isn’t the first look at a sci-fi show breaking bad universe; For one, Carroll has already flown on the Wayfarer plane.
