Dreams really can come true. In some cases, it looks like getting that job you always wanted, or finding the love of your life. In my case, it feels like reading an excerpt from a made-up romantic novel from a TV show.
That show is a sci-fi series from Vince Gilligan and Apple TV, PluribusAnd that novel is none other than waikaro’s blood song By Carol Sturka (played by Rhea Seehorn).

The entire piece is a spot-on pastiche of historical fantasy, replete with allegorical jargon and overly descriptive passages. You can imagine Carroll rolling her eyes as she writes about sandy cyclones and painful moonburns. Still, even without the context of the three other books to guide us, it’s hard not to get caught up in Lucassia and Raban’s story.

Carroll’s books in ‘Pluribus’ aren’t real, but I need them
However, the most interesting part of it waikaro’s blood song The excerpt begins with Carroll’s letter. In the letter, Carroll reveals that she is releasing this excerpt to appease the hordes of “Rabacia” shippers who are angry that Raban (presumed dead after walking the plank) is not on the cover.
“You know I am on record as disdaining ‘spoilers’ in any form, my preference would be to let the events unfold in their own time, through Lucasia’s anguished eyes. But I also understand that is not everyone’s preference,” Carroll wrote in the letter. “Different strokes for different folks. How hellish would the world be if we all thought exactly the same?”

That line is a dark reminder of what’s to come for him. The same applies to the beginning of the letter, which shows that Carol is completing the final stages of the letter. waikaro’s blood song Travel In PluribusThe Hive Mind’s worldwide engagement takes place shortly after finishing the tour, meaning that by the time this letter is written and the excerpt is published, Carroll has very little time left before the world as she knows it will disappear.
