Pierce Brosnan “Open” To Playing Doctor Fate Again; Teases Possible ‘Superman’ Appearance

Pierce Brosnan has raised the possibility of Doctor Fate appearing in Man of Tomorrow, the sequel to James Gunn’s DC Studios reboot of Superman. In an interview with GQ, Brosnan said he was set to play Kent Nelson aka Doctor Fate after landing the role in the ill-fated 2022 film Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson.

The Irish actor said, “I heard Doctor Fate is going to have his own show or his own movie. I heard he’s going to be in the next Superman.”

When asked if he would consider playing Doctor Fate again, the former James Bond star replied: “I very much enjoyed the philosophy of that character, and I would definitely be up for it.”

Gunn announced in September that Man of Tomorrow would arrive on July 9, 2027, with David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult expected to return as Superman/Clark Kent and Lex Luthor.
