It has 20 chapters sea of monstersAnd only eight episodes into the second season of the Disney+ series. Each chapter title does not get its own dedicated episode; However, this does not mean that the events of that chapter will not be adapted. The titles of the eight episodes, as posted on X, include the crux of their respective storylines, but do not limit them to the events of the book chapter.
With its two episodes premiering on December 10, Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 stars Danielle Dimmer, Dior Gudgeon, and Charlie Bushnell, along with Walker Scobell, Aryan Simhadri, and Leah Sava Jeffries. Episodes will release weekly on Disney+.

They also discover that Tyson is actually Poseidon’s son, like Percy (so the two are half-brothers). With Grover’s help through an empathic link, they must save the camp from its deteriorating confines by finding their satyr friend and searching for the Golden Fleas, which has the power to heal anything.

During the chariot race, Camp Half-Blood is attacked by a flock of Stymphalian birds, which Percy fends off using a boombox and a crowbar. “Dean Martin’s Greatest Hits of All Time.” With everyone else distracted by fighting monsters, Clarisse crosses the finish line first, much to Tantalus’ delight. Because of this, when Percy and Annabeth explain to him the need to find the Golden Fleas, Tantalus gives him the task.
Fueled by pride and a desire to prove herself, Clarice rejects Percy’s help, despite him having vital tools for its success in various ways. He’s not one to leave things alone when he knows he can help, however, so Percy decides to sneak out of the camp on his own and begin an informal search. With the help of one of Hermes’ gifts, they are transported far away, and Annabeth brings Percy and Tyson to one of the bases she, Luke, and Thalia used when they were on the run together. There, they encounter a Hydra and defeat it. However, it’s worth noting that this particular monster is completely absent from all marketing ahead of Season 2, and has not been confirmed for the show (though it could simply be that its inclusion is being kept as a surprise).

With this pressure on her shoulders, Clarisse makes a plan for her next obstacle: Scylla and Charybdis. To enter the Sea of Demons, they must decide which of the two demons to face. However, they are unable to make a definitive choice in enough time, and both end up facing the demons, with neither of them fully prepared to face them.

Soon, they encounter a group of sirens, and Percy prepares to put wax in his ears to avoid hearing their seductive song, which has been known to lure sailors to their deaths. Always curious, Annabeth convinces Percy to tie her up, making him promise not to set her free, so she can hear what’s so charming about the sound of sirens, and Percy reluctantly agrees.
Hearing the sirens’ song, Annabeth begins trying everything she can to free herself from the bonds, swimming towards the creatures until she succeeds. She dives from the boat and starts swimming which would surely lead to her death. Percy immediately jumps in to try to save her and discovers that his abilities with water are even more powerful than he thought. He succeeds in hiding himself and Annabeth in a bubble of water and bringing them back to safety.
Episode 6: Nobody Gets the Wool (Chapter 15)

They continue to try to distract the monster, as Annabeth takes another page out of Odysseus’s book. She puts on her invisibility cap and tricks Polyphemus into believing that he is her old nemesis “Nobody” (aka Odysseus himself). Cyclops, who has trouble seeing, believes this, which triggers a fight for the Fleas.
Unfortunately, Polyphemus scores a lucky hit, rendering Annabeth unconscious and badly injured. Percy takes Annabeth’s place while fighting Polyphemus, and when it seems all is about to end, Tyson appears to save his brother.
Episode 7: I Go Down with the Ship (Chapter 16)
Percy and Tyson fight Polyphemus together and with Annabeth, Grover, and Clarisse successfully acquiring the Golden fleece, Polyphemus escapes the island. On their way back, they find themselves in Miami Beach, where they meet Luke once again.
Time is not on their side and only having enough money for a plane ticket, the group decides to send Clarice back to camp with the Golden Fleas, hoping that it is not too late to recover Thalia’s tree. Then, Percy, Tyson, Annabeth, and Grover encounter Luke.
It becomes clear that Luke wants the Golden Fleet so he can use it to speed up Chronos’ life. With the rest of the camp still unaware that Luke poisoned the tree, in the book Percy uses an Iris message to trick Luke into confessing to all the campers. Then again, since the trailer actually sees Percy poisoning Luke’s tree, it’s unclear what this final confrontation might look like.
Episode 8: The Fleas Works Its Magic Too Well (Chapter 20)
Luke and Percy begin sword fighting, with Luke stabbing Percy in the thigh. Out of options and with an ally ready to eat the heroes for dinner, all seems lost, until Chiron and the other centaurs storm in in the chapter “Party Ponies”.
Percy, Tyson, Grover, and Annabeth are chased away by the party ponies and taken back to their base. There, Percy and Chiron discuss the Great Prophecy, which had been hinted at and vaguely discussed throughout the book up to this point. All Percy knows is that unless another child of the Big Three (Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades) is born, it looks like when he turns 16 he will have to make a choice that will either destroy or save Olympus.
The ponies bring the group back to camp, where everyone is preparing for a rematch of the chariot race, this time, without a flock of terrifying birds in the mix. With Tyson’s help, Percy and Annabeth win the race this time and the entire camp celebrates.

Just as everything seems to be coming to an end, however, Percy is in for another surprise: when the Golden Fleas was placed on the tree to heal, it not only lessened the effects of the poison, but also returned Zeus’s daughter, Thalia, back to her original, human form.
