Penn State vs Boston University Preview: Lions Back Home

The last time we saw the Nittany Lions, they played a competitive game with Providence for about 30 minutes, then, after coming back from a 12-point deficit to make it a three-point game, a pair of threes by the Friars blew it back open, and that was all he wrote.

Now, the Lions look to get back to winning ways against a Boston University team that could pose a little threat. However, as will be the case for most of Penn State’s season, BU has plenty of experience on its roster, with only two players on the entire roster having freshman eligibility. However one of them, Chance Gladden, guards the majority of the Terriers’ minutes.

In addition to the aforementioned Gladden, big men Ben Defty, Azmar Abdullah, a name I had to rethink, Sam Hughes and Michael McNair share most of the load.

To be honest, not much. The Terriers are ranked 253rd in KenPom, having been taken over by Northwestern a few weeks ago, and are already a 13-point underdog in this contest. The most interesting part of the game may be whether the Lions can handle Defty’s height, as he stands at 7 feet tall.

Penn State has a bunch of these games in non-conference for a reason. Penn State 77, Boston University 55
