Pat McAfee calls out the obvious Micah Parsons change no one is talking about

What Micah Parsons is doing with the Green Bay Packers this year is beyond anyone even remotely expecting. Coming over from the Dallas Cowboys, Parsons is coming off a career year across the board.

But, the biggest difference probably has nothing to do with what he has or hasn’t changed on the field. In the latest episode of Pat McAfee ShowMcAfee and his co-hosts talked about the absence of Parsons’ personal podcast this year.

“There was a lot of negative energy coming out of the podcast,” McAfee said. “It’s not that people shouldn’t do podcasts. I had a podcast whenever I was live. I support players doing their thing. But it felt like Micah was very good at football and the only negative thing was coming out of this podcast.”

Pat McAfee may have revealed the real reason Jerry Jones traded Micah Parsons to the Packers

“You have a chance to make more money from football now than you will in the future… Obviously you’re very good on the microphone and have a lot of sound bytes. We were even saying, ‘Is it worth it right now?'” he added.

It may have been something that went unnoticed until now, but it seems losing the podcast has done wonders for Parsons.

After all, the guy is leading the NFL with 60 quarterback pressures and has racked up 10.0 sacks and 20 quarterback hits.

Parsons had his own podcast for the past two years and he did it in seasons, but for this campaign, he took the show off the air.

Is this the real reason Jerry Jones didn’t want Parsons in Dallas anymore? Jones’ most famous argument was about stopping the run, which many fans laughed at. But, was the real reason something Jones didn’t want to admit?

Obviously, Jones has always come across as someone who loves being in the spotlight. Was he unable to share that spotlight with a prominent player who had a famous podcast while still playing on Jones’ favorite field?

Well, regardless, it’s the Packers who will now benefit from Parsons leaving the podcast this season. If it really made a difference, great. But, the Cowboys won’t get to experience it themselves.

Thanks, Jerry.
