Orlando weather: A few scattered showers before cooler temperatures arrive

The cold wave will bring the possibility of scattered showers and even a few thunderstorms to Central Florida. There is a 40% chance of rain, with the best chances from late morning (10am to 11am) to early afternoon (5pm to 6pm). It won’t be a washout for the entire day, but heavy rain will be possible in some parts.

Temperatures will be warm, as highs will reach into the 80s. In Orlando, plan for a high of 82°, which is several degrees above our average high of 76°.

The remaining rain will clear after sunset tonight. Cooler, drier air will filter in behind today’s cold front and skies will become increasingly clear overnight. Winds will also blow from the north direction. Morning lows will fall into the upper 50s and low 60s.

midweek will be cold

Wednesday will be windy with gusts around 20 mph. Overall it will be a beautiful day as highs drop into the low 70s, which is below average.

By Thursday morning, low temperatures will drop into the upper 40s and low 50s. Temperatures will remain in the high to mid 70s through Thursday before we get back into the 80s on Friday and the weekend.

Speaking of, another system comes into play for the weekend. Bringing with it the possibility of additional rounds of scattered rain on Saturday and Sunday.
