It’s not every day you get a good pair of wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and app support for under $20, which is why the current Lightning deal CMF Buds 2A To stand out. Now through today, April 7, at 11:15 pm ET, Nothing’s budget earbuds are available in all three colors at Amazon for just $19.99 ($29 off), matching their lowest price ever.
For the price, the Buds 2A cover the basics and then some. They offer decent (albeit somewhat tinny) sound and 42 decibels of noise cancellation, as well as an IP54 rating and a useful transparency mode for staying aware of your surroundings. They also offer a commendable eight hours of battery life per charge with ANC disabled – or up to 35.5 with the included charging case – and feature four onboard mics that take advantage of Nothing’s noise-canceling technology, which helps boost voice call quality. I wouldn’t say that sound clarity is their strong point, although, again, they are a $20 pair of earbuds.
Like the rest of Nothing’s entry-level earbuds, the 2A also work with the Nothing X app, adding a level of flexibility that’s hard to find at this price. With the app, you can change EQ settings, adjust bass response, switch between ANC modes, or enable multi-device pairing instantly. There’s also a “Find My Earbuds” feature if you lose them, and you can specify a gesture to instantly trigger your phone’s virtual assistant, whether it’s Siri or Google Assistant. Additionally, if you’re using a Nothing or CMF phone, you can use your voice to access ChatGPT directly through the earbuds.
