US President Donald Trump has once again taken an optimistic stance regarding peace plans in Ukraine, saying that the only deadline he sees for reaching a peace deal is “when this is over.”
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the US Olga Stefanyshina told DW that Ukrainian teams are heading to Moscow to resume talks.
However, Trump’s hopes of getting Ukraine’s Zelensky to sign his peace plan before Thanksgiving this weekend seem unlikely to be met. The US President said his envoy Steve Witkoff is going to Moscow next week to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.
