No. 1 UConn Travels to South Florida Tuesday

Storrs, Conn. , The top-ranked UConn women’s basketball team (7-0) returns to Tampa to take on familiar rival South Florida (5-3) at Yuengling Center on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The game will air on ESPN2 and UConn Sports Network from Learfield (Fox Sports 97.9).

The Huskies won their 2015 and 2025 NCAA Championships in Tampa, Florida.

UConn is 142–0 all-time against American Athletic Conference opponents. As members of the league from 2013–2020, UConn went 139–0 in conference regular season and tournament games.

Six Huskies scored in double figures as UConn opened Big East play with a 104-39 win at Xavier on Sunday. UConn leads 34–0 all-time against South Florida. This is UConn’s first visit to USF since February 16, 2020, when the Huskies were members of the American. UConn won the 2015 and 2025 NCAA Championships in Tampa.

South Florida beat New Orleans 90-58 on Sunday. This season, Adin Battle leads the Bulls with 14.2 points per game. Michelle Woods-Baxter was named South Florida’s interim head coach in October.

The Huskies will return to Gampel Pavilion this Sunday to host DePaul at 1 p.m. Prior to the game, UConn will officially retire the number 10 in honor of Sue Bird. The game will air on FS1. There are limited tickets here.
