After showing up on the Indianapolis Colts’ Week 12 injury report with a fibula injury, Rapoport reports that this “is not an injury (Jones) is concerned about.”
The Colts quarterback played through it last week during a 23-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, throwing for 181 yards and two touchdowns. He also picked up 16 rushing yards on three attempts.
Jones was a full participant during Friday’s practice and head coach Shane Steichen said Jones will play Sunday against the Houston Texans.
“We would never put him out there if we thought something could go wrong,” Steichen said.

Moving on to Jones’ old team in New York, Jaxson Dart was cleared from concussion protocol on Thursday and will play Monday night against the New England Patriots.

Dart has missed the Giants’ past two games while in concussion protocol. He was injured in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears. Jameis Winston started in a pair of seven-point losses in Dart’s absence.
In Minnesota, J.J. McCarthy remains in concussion protocol and will miss Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. Rookie Max Brosmer will start in his place. McCarthy reported concussion symptoms on the flight back following the team’s 23-6 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 12.
McCarthy has already missed five games this season with an ankle injury. The concussion comes after a pretty disappointing showing from the Michigan product, who went 12-for-19 for only 87 yards in the defeat to the Packers, throwing two interceptions. The second-year quarterback has not impressed much in his first real season, hitting only 54.1% of his passes with 10 picks and a 57.9 QBRating across six games.
Other notable Week 13 injuries:

The Patriots will be without rookie left tackle Will Campbell, who will miss the next four games after being placed on injured reserve. Campbell injured his knee during New England’s Week 12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The team doesn’t believe the injury is season-ending, meaning there’s hope quarterback Drake Maye will have his blindside protector back when it matters most.
-
Baker Mayfield is trending toward playing Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. After dealing with a low-grade sprained AC joint in his non-throwing shoulder all week, Mayfield took part in Friday’s practice, and head coach Todd Bowles said he looked good and looks ready to return after sustaining the injury during last week’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams. “He had to get well. He was very limited on Wednesday, he did a little more yesterday and he moved around perfectly today, so he’s fine.”
-
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will start against the Buffalo Bills, head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters on Friday. Rodgers missed last week’s game against the Bears after suffering a fractured wrist in his non-throwing hand against the Bengals in Week 11. Backup Mason Rudolph relieved him after the injury, closing out the dominant win by going 12-of-16 for 127 yards and a touchdown. Rudolph, though, lost his first start of the season 31-28 to Chicago.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play through pain Sunday. Rodgers reportedly has three fractures in his wrist, but plans to take the field against the Buffalo Bills in Week 13.
Rodgers, 41, is dealing with those fractures in his non-throwing wrist. They aren’t displaced, and pain management reportedly isn’t an issue, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rodgers missed the team’s game in Week 12 — a loss to the Chicago Bears — due to the issue. He’s thrown for 19 touchdowns against seven interceptions through 10 games this season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expected to get a big boost Sunday, as both Baker Mayfield and Bucky Irving are expected to play, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
If Irving is able to suit up, it would mark the first time since Week 4 he’s been able to take the field.
Irving has missed time with shoulder and foot injuries.
Mayfield sustained an injury in his non-throwing shoulder in Week 12, but will also suit up Sunday.
The Buccaneers are 6-5 and hold a narrow lead at the top of the NFC South.

After missing two games following an appendectomy, Arizona Cardinals wideout Marvin Harrison is expected to play in Week 13, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Days after it was announced that longtime center was coming out of retirement to rejoin the Detroit Lions, the team said on Saturday that the reunion will not be happening.
According to the Lions, the 29-year-old Ragnow failed a physical after it revealed a Grade 3 hamstring strain that would have kept him out for the rest of the 2025 regular season.

The wait for Omarion Hampton’s return continues. The Los Angeles Chargers ruled the rookie running back out for Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Hampton hasn’t played since fracturing his ankle in Week 5.
“It was a good week,” Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters Friday, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “Really beneficial, ramping up. Everything’s on track to return, not this week.”

The Washington Commanders will go their third straight game without quarterback Jayden Daniels, who is still nursing an elbow injury he suffered on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 9.
That said, they’re expected to have wide receiver Terry McLaurin available coming out of the bye. McLaurin was still listed with his quad injury this week. He was limited in Wednesday’s practice and didn’t participate Friday. But he doesn’t have an injury designation heading into the primetime showdown with the Denver Broncos.

Embattled Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy will be sidelined Sunday in Seattle against the Seahawks. He’s still recovering from the concussion he suffered during a Week 12 defeat to the Green Bay Packers.
The Vikings are turning to undrafted rookie Max Brosmer, who played his college ball at UNH and Minnesota before impressing with the Vikings in the preseason.
Brosmer will make his first-career start on the road versus the Seahawks.

Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans told reporters that quarterback C.J. Stroud will start Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Stroud has missed the last three games while in concussion protocol.
Stroud has thrown for 1,702 yards, 11 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in 8 games this season. The Texans have started Davis Mills and have gone 3-0 in Stroud’s absence. Mills has thrown for 879 yards, 5 touchdowns and 1 interception.

Mayfield suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday’s loss to the Rams.
After a Tampa Bay drive in the first half, Mayfield went into the sideline medical tent without moving his left arm. He initially returned to the game on the ensuing Tampa Bay possession. But he grimaced in pain after falling on the last play before halftime, and the Bucs listed him as doubtful to return before Tampa Bay’s first possession of the third quarter.
Mayfield said Wednesday he was still experiencing pain, but that it was decreasing. Head coach Todd Bowles said he wanted to see ths quarterback work through the week before making a final decision on playing Sunday against the Cardinals.

Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson, guard Will Hernandez and defensive tackle Walter Nolen have been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Bucs, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Chiefs’ left tackle suffered a dislocated and fractured wrist during Thursday’s Thanksgiving Day loss to the Cowboys.
Simmons will undergo an MRI on Friday to determine the severity and help the team be able to gauge a possible timeframe for a return.
The No. 32 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft missed the first 10 weeks of the season while tending to a personal matter in California. He returned in Week 11 and started Kansas City’s past three games.

Rodgers missed last week’s game against the Bears after suffering a fracture in his non-throwing wrist against the Bengals the previous week.
Rodgers’ wrist injury did not require surgery and he pushed to play Week 12 after being limited in practice last Thursday.

Colts quarterback Daniel Jones has reportedly been dealing with a fractured fibula — though he reportedly plans to keep playing through it. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that it’s “not an injury he’s concerned about.”
Jones has surged this season to lead Indianapolis to a 8-3 record, and is choosing to power through going forward.
“I’m all good. I’ll be ready to go on Sunday,” said Jones, who was a full participant in Thursday’s practice. “Obviously, I was out there last week. I’m good to go.”
