Netflix has been in the game adaptation business for some time, but until recently most of its focus was on adaptations Video game. This is still happening a lot, but the streaming giant is now also buying the rights to board game IPs, the latest of which is Esmody ticket to Ride.

This is actually the second installment of Esmody’s IP that Netflix has acquired the rights to after announcing last year It will also come on screen in different forms. And its interest isn’t just in scripted TV and movie opportunities. In early 2025, the company also signed a deal with Hasbro to adapt On a TV game show.
