Netflix has reportedly canceled a controversial series after releasing just one season on its streaming platform. This news follows a wave of backlash that has surrounded the series since it first debuted on Netflix.
This series is actually an animated revival of a very old sitcom. However, while the original sitcom series was quite popular and received overwhelmingly positive reactions during its run and in the years that followed, the revival had the opposite experience.
In fact, there was a boycott against Netflix regarding the release of the series and many viewers directly called the show racist. With so much feedback, it’s really no surprise that the show has been canceled by Netflix with only one season left, but it’s definitely disappointing to see the legacy of the original show reach this point.
