But all this is expected to change soon. The recent move to fire Vanderbilt Commodores coach Clark Lee has brought new momentum to an aggressive effort to transfer Curtis from Georgia to Nashville.

Steve Wiltfong of Rivals wrote on Friday, “It was a stroke of a pen that could see the Commodores ultimately trade local five-star quarterback and current Georgia commit Jared Curtis out of Nashville (Tenn.) Christian.” ” Sources continued to indicate Friday morning that the expectation has always been that Curtis will flip when Lee locks up.
“There are still very positive indicators that will occur. Discussions continue between the Curtis camp and Vanderbilt and even now that the deal is finalized.”

Vanderbilt’s recruiting has been active for several weeks. The Commodore intensified the personal contact during a high-profile weekend in Nashville. The meetings and zero negotiations have been part of the effort to keep Curtis at home.
“A source close to Curtis told Rivals this week, ‘Clarke has signed a new deal, things will get interesting. If he goes somewhere else, it won’t be as interesting anymore.'” Wiltfong said.
Nothing is confirmed yet, but it would be a huge breakthrough for the Bulldogs, who are ranked No. 2 in ESPN’s recruiting rankings. The early signing window runs into early December, and Curtis has indicated the decision will be finalized later this week. Georgia is 10–1, second only to the Texas A&M Aggies with a 7–1 SEC record.
