Moment Donald Trump ‘disintegrates before our very eyes’ live on CNN – TV – Entertainment

CNN aired a segment where President Donald Trump appeared to contradict his own campaign promises, leading viewers to see his “flip flopping” stance.

During his election campaign, Trump repeatedly assured that the United States would stay away from “regime-change wars” about which they “know nothing”.

However, his recent actions in Venezuela appear to contradict those assurances.

A CNN anchor pointed out this discrepancy to viewers: “Compare what he’s been saying in the last few days about foreign interference with the kind of things he said earlier during the campaign and when he was running for office.”

The program then transitioned to a recent clip of Trump aboard Air Force One, where he told reporters: “Colombia is also very sick, it’s run by a very sick man who loves to make cocaine and sell it to the United States, and he’s not going to do that for very long, let me tell you.”

This was followed by footage from December 2016, which showed Trump saying: “We will stop the race to overthrow foreign regimes we know nothing about, that we should not be involved with.”

Fast forward to 2026, Trump said: “If they start killing people (in Iran) as they have in the past, I think they will be hit very hard by the United States.”

A 2024 clip showed him sharply criticizing regime change in Iraq, Libya and Syria as “global disasters”, followed by a fresh soundbite in which he said: “We need Greenland from a national security perspective, and Denmark will not be able to do that.”

Viewers took to social media to discuss the segment, with one user tweeting: “He’s disintegrating before our eyes.

Another viewer said, “CNN compiled Trump’s flip flops together. It’s a collection of contradictions and broken promises.”
