Minneapolis (Fox 9) , Both Minneapolis and St. Paul have declared snow emergencies after their first major blizzards of the season on Saturday.

Minneapolis officials are asking the public to follow parking rules to help crews plow more than 1,000 miles of streets.
The city announced that the following rules will remain in effect for the next three days:
- 9 PM, 30 November to 8 AM on Monday, 1 December (First Day)Before 8 a.m., do not park on either side of the snow emergency route, otherwise the road will be completely frozen over.
- Monday, December 1 (Day 2) 8 AM to 8 PMDo not park on EVEN numbered side of a non-snow emergency road until 8 p.m., or that side of the roadway is fully plowed, or on any side of the parkway until 8 p.m., or the parkway is fully plowed.
- Tuesday, December 2 (Day 3) 8 AM to 8 PMDo not park on the odd-numbered side of a non-snow emergency road, or on a fully plowed side of the road, until 8 p.m.

St. Paul city officials say night plow routes will begin at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30, covering all streets with signs saying “Night Plow Route” and “Night Plow Route on this side of the street.”
Any vehicle that does not move from the night plow route by 9 pm will be ticketed and towed.
Beginning Monday, December 1, all crews will operate “day plow routes,” which are unmarked. If there is no “Night Plow” sign posted within the block, it is considered a day plow route.
Vehicles that do not move from the day plow route by 8 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025, will be ticketed and towed.
The snow emergency is set to last for 96 hours or until 9 p.m. on December 4, 2025
Do not park in areas where roads are not curbed, and remember to obey posted road signs.
