Millie Bobby Brown is opening up about her relationship with David Harbor following a viral report earlier this month in which she accused him of stranger things Bullying co-stars on set.
Despite the report, Brown and Harbor surprised many as they posed all smiles together at the world premiere of season five in Los Angeles on November 6. A few days after the premiere, hollywood reporter Sat down with Brown and asked why it’s important for co-stars to unite amid headline-making allegations.
He replied, “We have been doing this for the last 10 years.” “I mean, we’ve always been united in this. We love this show more than anything, and we value our friendship more than anything.”
The report, first posted by the UK tabloid The Daily Mailalleged that Brown, 21, filed a harassment and bullying complaint against Harbour, 50, before filming began for the final season. The report claimed there were “pages and pages” of allegations, but the specific claims were not detailed; However, no sexual impropriety was reportedly alleged. An internal investigation by Netflix reportedly lasted “for months”, and as a result, Brown was reportedly accompanied by a personal representative to the set of the fifth season ahead of filming in December 2024.
Netflix has not responded to questions about the report.
In the first few episodes of season five (Mild spoiler alert), Brown’s Eleven and Harbor Hopper spent a lot of time together on screen after reuniting at the end of season four. Their characters spent much of the previous season apart, as Hopper was imprisoned in a Russian labor camp and Eleven tried to regain her powers with Dr. Brenner and Dr. Owens after moving to California with the Byers family.
Brown also told heart It was “great” and “really exciting” to be able to “come back” with Harbor for the fifth and final season.
The actress added, “It was quite nostalgic because it reminded me a lot of seasons two and three, where we’re both head over heels for each other and she’s growing up, she’s trying to find her voice and he’s trying to be a parent, and that dynamic definitely comes up again and I’m really excited for people to see it.” “And I think some of people’s favorite scenes of Eleven are Ellie and[Hopper]so I’m really excited to bring that to the screen once again.”
Although Brown hasn’t directly addressed the alleged report, the Duffer Brothers were previously asked about the bullying claims at the LA premiere.
