Mike Patton and the Avett Brothers Give AVTT/PTTN Collab Its Live Debut in NYC

Mike Patton and The Avett Brothers took the stage together for the first time to perform in front of a live audience as collaborative project AVTT/PTTN, playing selections from their recently released self-titled debut album.

The performance took place Tuesday at the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture at NYC’s Loretto Theater as part of the GRAMMY Museum’s “New York Evening” series, in which Patton and the Avetts performed four songs from the LP: “Dark Night of the Soul,” “Heaven’s Breath,” “Eternal Love,” and “Received.”

The mini-concert was followed by a talk moderated by Eric Andre and then Patton and the Avetts were taken to Rockefeller Center’s Rough Trade for a signing. NYC promo push concludes with a performance The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Aired on Wednesday night, 26 November.

Next spring, fans in other states will be able to see the collaboration performance in person when the AVTT/PTTN US Tour begins in April. Dates are scattered throughout May and June, with the final show taking place on June 20 in Waukegan, Illinois. Get tickets here.
