There are many differences between social media and movies. We did not work with MPAs when updating our content settings, and they are not rating any content on Instagram, and they are not endorsing or approving our content settings in any way. Rather, we took inspiration from the MPA’s public guidelines that parents are already familiar with. Our content moderation system is not the same as a movie rating board, so the experience may not be exactly the same.
