Martha Stewart is the new face of American Eagle in denim and diamonds for the holidays

When it comes to holiday gift giving, Martha Stewart knows best.

And, American Eagle is helping answer the seasonal holiday question: “WWMD?”

The 84-year-old icon is the new face of the brand, appearing in head-to-toe denim and diamonds for its latest AE Jeans campaign.

In one image, Stewart wears an oversized denim shirt with straight-leg jeans, with a diamond necklace visible at the opening of the button-down.

In another, she styles her jeans with a cropped jacket and a navy sweater around her shoulders, wearing a necklace and earrings with golden sparkles.

In another scene, Stewart serves a pie made from denim scraps while wearing straight-leg jeans, a jacket, denim Manolo Blahnik heels and an impressive diamond necklace and dangling earrings.

In one ad, the “Euphoria” star, who has blue eyes and blonde hair, explained how genes passed from parents to offspring often determine traits like “hair color, personality and even eye color.” American Eagle

“This holiday season, we want nothing less than a perfect fit,” the notorious perfectionist explains in a video shared by the brand.

As she wraps a gift box in denim with contrasting denim ribbon, she adds, “Giving generously during the holiday season is one of my greatest joys.”

The camera then zooms in to show that the card reads, “To: Martha, From: Martha.”

“When the gift is jeans, it’s always about giving. Welcome to Martha’s denim season. Let the gift-giving begin,” the caption on Instagram read.

The campaign aims to showcase the timeless nature of denim as a universally appealing gift.

“The holidays are a time for thoughtful giving,” Stewart said in a press release, “and I’ve always believed there’s nothing more useful or more universally appreciated than a pair of jeans.

And, like all of Super Hostess’ beautifully wrapped gifts, she admits, “If you want to give a gift that will be worn, loved and appreciated long after the wrapping paper is gone, give the gift of American Eagle jeans.”

Although the denim brand has now expanded far beyond heavy cotton blues, this holiday campaign reminds customers of its roots.

While Stewart is arguably outside the brand’s core demographic, she has recently been reinvigorated as a cultural icon by the younger generation who are — in fact — shopping at American Eagle.

We can’t help but wonder what fellow AE Denim campaign star, Sydney Sweeney, has to say about Martha Stewart’s good jeans.
