Man killed in rollover crash on I-40 in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WSMV) – One person is dead after a rollover crash on Interstate 40 Saturday morning, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

MNPD said the single-vehicle crash happened at 7:15 a.m. Saturday on the entrance ramp to I-40 East.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound on I-40 at a high speed when it entered the I-440 entrance ramp and failed to make the turn. The truck went off the left side of the ramp and rolled over.

Police are investigating to determine whether damage played a role in the crash.

“Toxicology testing will be conducted to determine if impairment played a role in this fatal crash,” MNPD said.
