We are sitting on the most transformative technology since the iPhone and we need a head of development to help us tell our story and show the world what smart glasses can do for them.

Role

We’re hiring a Head of Development to bring smart glasses to millions of people.

Success looks like this: When people hear “smart glasses” they think of Mentra. Thousands of developers are building apps on MentraOS in February. Dozens of companies are ordering 10,000 units by the second quarter of 2024. Online viral launch videos define Internet culture. Big content creators use our glasses in their videos to create better content. 100,000 Deaf/HoH people using Mentra Live Caption in 2026.

An opportunity to show humanity that technology can once again be a force for good in the world.

What would you do:

  • Own product development for Mentra. 2 key KPIs:
    • WAUs on MentraOS
    • Mentra Smart Glass Sales
  • Leadership:
    • Work with the CEO to help align the entire team (engineering, design, content) for product development
    • The content team includes various third parties to manage:
      • Internal Hire – Videographer
      • influencer
  • website
    • Work with the CEO to gain ownership of content on the site
    • Work with the design team to design a new website
  • public relations
  • Advertisement
  • events
    • Increase mind share among developers, B2B, deaf/HoH consumers

What we are looking for:

  • Track record of success in a development role. Have you launched a high-converting email campaign, been featured in the New York Times, gone viral on TikTok, or helped a startup reach 100,000 users? let’s talk
  • Ownership: Ready to land and install across multiple systems throughout development.
  • Broad Skills: Marketing, Product, Communications, Events, Content, etc.
  • IRL in San Francisco.
  • Active, high-ownership, smart glasses/AR fanatic.
