For April Fool’s Day, the developer of look out Released an update that added a new option to your interactions with NPCs: kissing. Instead of fighting or talking to the enemies and surviving neighbors in the cursed apartment building, you can give them a kiss. His dialogue and sprites were also updated accordingly. Cue the horror of the stuttering eldritch with bright red cheeks. April Fools’ Day is now (thankfully) over, but there’s good news for those who have been enjoying the love fest or who haven’t had a chance to try it out. Developer Francis Coulombe has created a way for players to access “smooch mode” later on.
“If you started the game on April 1st and kissed the injured neighbor, that save file is now permanently in smooch mode!” Coulombe posted on social media. “You can also activate smooch mode on a new save file by naming it ‘Casanova’.” I immediately started a new save to confirm and yes, doing this can actually let you go on a kissing spree. Although you can’t kiss every person/hater you come across, you can definitely kiss a lot of them.
Want to kiss the rat king? go wild. Pierre? Yes. That weird bug guy in the basement who eats bandages? Unfortunately yes, he is also kissable. This truly is the game that keeps on giving. Apparently we’re also getting a real, non-silly update in the near future look out The fans are eating well. Now, please excuse me while I get back to my ‘Kiss Everyone’ (except Lyle) run.
