Live map: Crashes, snowy conditions causing significant traffic issues across St. Louis area

According to the MoDOT Traveler Map, most interstates and state highways in St. Charles, Gasconade, Montgomery, Warren and Lincoln counties are covered with snow.

Scheduled Tribe. Charles County, MO. – Accidents and icy conditions on many area highways are causing significant traffic problems throughout the region.

“Accidents are everywhere,” 5 On Your Side traffic anchor Paul Cook said Monday afternoon.

The first major backup came from a crash on Interstate 70 in Lake St. Louis.

MoDOT said a crash around 11:35 a.m. closed the two left lanes of westbound I-70 at Lake St. Louis Boulevard. The vehicle stalled in the eastbound lane has also closed the lane.

Snowfall conditions have disrupted traffic on area roads throughout much of St. Charles County.

According to the MoDOT Traveler Map, most interstates and state highways in St. Charles, Gasconade, Montgomery, Warren and Lincoln counties are covered with snow.

Highways in St. Louis and St. Louis County were partially covered with snow as of 12:25 p.m., according to MoDOT.

In St. Louis County, crashes occurred on northbound 270 at 370, westbound 64 at Lindbergh, westbound I-44 at Arsenal and eastbound I-44 at both Elm Avenue and Jemison Avenue.

MoDOT is expected to hold a press conference at 12:30 pm to provide an update on the roads.
