Since the introduction of the C1 OLED in 2021, these OLED TVs have been collecting “Best TV of the Year” awards. While the LG G5 series OLED is now considered a flagship, its high sticker price puts it out of reach for most buyers.
Our competitors have been writing about “Black Friday Deals” on C5 for days, but we’re holding off. While Best Buy claims you can save $1,300 on this TV by paying $1,399.99, this price has been available on Amazon since October. So, we were holding out hope that this TV would finally get a new price drop on Black Friday, and our patience has paid off.

Amazon now has the LG C5 series on sale in the ideal 65-inch size for $1,219.99, an 18% discount and its lowest price ever. (Based on LG’s $2,699.99 retail price, that’s actually a $1,480 discount, but this TV is rarely sold at full retail.) There is one small hiccup: In some regions, this TV may be listed for sale on Amazon through a third-party seller, which isn’t ideal. Therefore, check the seller’s reviews before clicking “Add to Cart”. Luckily, if something goes wrong, Prime members have Amazon’s rock-solid free return policy to protect them.
This TV is amazing, especially at this price. It has a built-in AI processor to improve content and provide more smooth motion, which is great for gaming and watching sports. Cinemagoers will also appreciate the ultra-bright display and deep blacks and sharp contrast of the advanced OLED display.
The TV has a 144Hz refresh rate and features NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium to support gaming.
