K&W Cafeteria closing permanently after being in business since 1937

The doors close today, December 1st.

Winston-Salem, NC – According to the website, K&W Cafeteria is suddenly closing its doors after 88 years in business.

The doors will close immediately on Monday, December 1, the website said.

“K&W has always been more than a restaurant – it’s been a gathering place, a home for Sunday traditions and a warm table for millions of families across generations. We are so grateful for every guest who has walked through our doors, dined with us and made us a part of their lives,” the chain wrote on Facebook.

The Southeastern food chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2020, during which time it closed six locations.

Falcon Holdings LLC. Owns K&W, a restaurant management company based in Texas.
