This post is about the Epstein files and why my name is in them.
In 2012 I started dating a woman who was 30 years older. I met him through a friend. Epstein didn’t introduce us. My only meeting with that monster was during the day in his New York office. I never met him…— 🤠(@Kimble) 9 February 2026
Kimbal Musk is a Tesla and SpaceX board member, and is also a restaurateur, businessman, and the man’s younger brother. He is named in several emails and documents in the Justice Department’s latest batch of Epstein revelations.
Looking at the Epstein documents involving Kimbal Musk, a reasonable person might get an impression that Epstein was aware of at least some details of his romantic life, knew his partner well, and that Epstein planned to spend – or was at least considering spending – considerable time with her in multiple locations around the country in 2022 and 2023.
But as explained in an X post from Musk on Monday night:
- He says the woman Kimbal Musk was dating during the relevant period was 30 years her senior, and claims he did not meet her through Epstein. Her age is relevant because Epstein was convicted of a sex crime with a minor, and the charges for which he was under indictment in 2019, when he died, included sex trafficking of minors.
- Kimbal Musk confirmed that he met Epstein. He says the meeting was in New York and claims he never went to Epstein’s Island.
- We’re now being told that Epstein was a subscriber to Kimbal Musk’s newsletter in 2012.“The reason he got so many emails from me is because he subscribed to the newsletter I sent out to thousands of people every few weeks,” Musk wrote in his ex-post.
If this 2012-era newsletter was just Kimbal Musk using his normal email client to send emails to “thousands of people” instead of using something like Mailchimp, it would be somewhat odd, but not unheard of, and there’s a possible universe where it could at least partially explain why Epstein was on the email chain with him.
I say “partially” because it doesn’t fully explain all the reasons for the October 7, 2012 email in those files in which Kimbal Musk emails two people – Epstein and an associate of Bill Gates named Boris Nikolic and Jeffrey Epstein, and partly writes:
“It’s great to walk today.
Jeffrey and Boris, thanks so much for having me. [name voluntarily redacted by Gizmodo]. I believe you both played a role. :)”
…to which Nikolic partially answers:
.Kimble – Just fine – you better behave [name redacted] 😉
Jeffrey gets mad when someone misbehaves with his girls/friends. So it would be better to treat him very well.
…to which Musk replies in part:
“Jeffrey: The message was received wide and clear. 😉
Seriously, I’m so happy with my time so far [name redacted]. she is very well.”
For that matter, Musk’s explanation doesn’t fully satisfy my curiosity as to why Epstein had received a Google Calendar reminder shortly before those emails about an event in September called “Kimba Musk, Birthday Four Seasons,” which occurred on the Saturday after Kimbal Musk’s birthday.
And it may raise curiosity among the public as to why Epstein received an email a few weeks later, on October 26, detailing the schedule of a person with the same name as the apparent “girl” mentioned in the October 7 email. This list spans from 2012 to January 2013, and includes items such as “Kimble in NYC”, and this “Kimble” character is mentioned a total of five times.
According to Electrek’s Fred Lambert, Kimbal Musk is a major shareholder in Tesla, and has sold or exercised options when the price appeared to have peaked at times. Forbes estimates his net worth to be around $700 million in 2021.
Musk was a board member of Burning Man from 2019 until this year, when he left amid the Epstein controversy. He was also a board member at Chipotle from 2013 to 2019.
