Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt shared that she and Chris Pratt decided on a very important rule long before they left the house: The holidays in their house officially start on November 1.

talking with fox news digital, Schwarzenegger admitted that she doesn’t wait long after Halloween to get into full Christmas mode.

“Yes, that was an agreement my husband and I made before we got married. The Christmas lights and Christmas music start on November 1,” she explained.

Schwarzenegger laughed while recalling a recent moment with his daughter that perfectly reflected their family tradition.

“My daughter Eloise recently said to me, ‘Mommy, it’s Halloween and then Christmas, right?’ And I said, ‘Sure.’ That’s my baby right there. She understood. That’s why we’re united,” she joked.

Although she says she enjoys Thanksgiving as much as anyone else, the children’s book author says the holiday fits in perfectly with the warm glow of early Christmas decorations.

With just a few days left in his self-proclaimed Christmas holiday season in November, Schwarzenegger said his home was already glowing with festive cheer.

She shared, “It’s only taken us a day or two, and every tradition that we do, from putting up our Christmas lights on November 1 to playing Christmas music to everyone gathering together as a family, is something I’m really grateful for and proud of that our family makes a priority every holiday season.”

Schwarzenegger said the season has taken on new meaning now that his children are old enough to enjoy it.

She said, “November 1st is my time. It’s like my time of the year, it’s my time to melt out of the snowy part of me and really emerge as a Christmas queen.”

Seeing his children experience magic is one of his greatest joys, he said.

“It’s so special to see the holidays right now and also to see the holidays through kids’ eyes,” she said.

Meanwhile, during an appearance on the “Cat & Nat Unfiltered” podcast, Schwarzenegger admitted that she’s starting to look like her father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, when it comes to parenting.

The 35-year-old mom of three shared that she’s been teaching her older children, Lyla, 5, and Eloise, 3, how to work, and she’s realizing she might be stricter than she thought. The author suspects that her upbringing had something to do with it.

“I think (we’re) more traditional in terms of the work as well as the execution of the work and the rigor of the work,” he said. “And it’s like, maybe my father was coming out, but my father had no patience or excuse for you not doing your job.”

She laughed remembering her childhood reaction. “And I always said, ‘This is terrible. How could you do this to us? No one has jobs like this.’ Now I feel like, we’re doing the same thing.”

Earlier this month, Schwarzenegger told people magazine She and the Marvel star are thoroughly enjoying that phase of life as parents.

Strong communication has always been at the heart of their relationship, she said.

“We do a really good job at communicating,” Schwarzenegger said. “This is something that was really important to both of us from the beginning and continues to be really important to us as life gets busier and crazy, especially when you add more kids into the mix.”

Schwarzenegger also told the publication that he and the “Garfield” actor “balance each other out really well” as parents.

“He has a lot of qualities that I don’t have and I have some qualities that maybe he doesn’t have,” he said.

Schwarzenegger added, “We’re a great team.” “I think it’s always important to keep in mind that we’re a team and we’re all trying our best to deal with different things. We’re also in this beautiful season of life, having little kids and spending a lot of time with them. It’s a lovely time.”
