In the game, when Druckman pulls the rug out from under you and asks you to play as Abby, it’s extremely annoying. Now you are living with the person whose story you taught you to hate. But, over the course of the story, our sympathies and beliefs change, which supercharges the final showdown of the second season.
But will a potential two-year break between seasons have that kind of impact? And how will the show fare now that Druckmann, who created the game and helped bring the show to life, is stepping away to focus on sci-fi games like Naughty Dog Video Games Intergalactic: Heretic Prophet? We don’t know. However, we do know that the cameras will start rolling soon and Dever will be at the forefront of them most of the time.
