With Victor Wembanyama (calf) facing a lengthy absence and Stephen Cassel (hip) also sidelined, Julien Champagne took advantage of his opportunity to record his second consecutive double-double. He finished with 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3PT), 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 32 minutes to help lead the Lakers to a 115-102 win over the Trail Blazers on Wednesday.

Imaginary Effects:

The effort comes after a 10-point, 12-rebound performance against Phoenix earlier in the week. Champagnie has emerged as a major beneficiary of the Spurs’ injury problem, playing a key role in the rotation.
