JoJo Siwa Shares Health Update After Being Rushed to the Hospital

JoJo Siwa is back like a “boomerang” after experiencing a health emergency.

The 22-year-old “Karma” singer shared a health update on TikTok after posting a photo of herself on a stretcher just hours before the Mall of America performance on Friday, November 28. She revealed that before the performance she was “in the hospital” after suffering severe stomach pain.

“To make such a long story short, whenever I’ve been dancing or even doing anything like walking for the past few days, my stomach really hurts,” Siwa said in the clip.

“And I don’t know why, but it just passed, and so I said, ‘Oh, maybe it’s that time of the month, maybe it’s a cramp, I don’t know,’ she continued.

However, she noted that the pain had become “really bad” on Friday morning, and she thought sleeping it off might help, but it did not.

“I lay down, I closed my eyes, and I was like, ‘I can’t breathe,'” she said, recalling that she went into the bathtub to see if that would “calm down” her muscles.

Siva added, “That made it 100 times worse.” “I was (in the bathtub) for maybe four minutes, and all of a sudden I was like, I have to get out right away because I knew I was going to black out and I felt like I was going to throw up.”

dance Moms The alum said she called her mom, who asked her if she should call 911 and take her to the hospital, to which the reality star agreed. When EMTs arrived, he said, “they didn’t really know what was wrong” because his vital organs looked “normal.”

Eventually she reached the hospital and was given painkillers and had an ultrasound, which revealed “I had a cyst on one of my ovaries that burst and I was bleeding into my abdomen.”

“So that’s what was causing the excruciating pain – whenever there’s blood flowing into your stomach, that’s a stomach hemorrhage,” Siva explained. “It’s like brutal pain, and long story short, (it) should spin on its own. It should stop on its own.”

She said she held back from completing her scheduled appearance and performance at the Mall of America, in part because of the pain medication. However, she said that this was not the end, as she would have to get tested again in a week. In the meantime, he planned to continue work as usual.

“Today, we’re going to go to work and we’re going to dance again. I’m afraid how this dance is going to affect me because I’m going to dance, but it’s only going to be an hour. We’re going to do it,” she said.

“We’ll keep this going, and if I vomit or have excruciating pain again, I’ll have to go back immediately, but we should be fine,” she continued.

Siva said that thanks to the medical staff she was “out of the hospital within two hours”, and she thanked everyone for their “well wishes”. She said she is “doing everything OK”, but is not back to “100%” yet.
