The Epstein files may be on the verge of being released, with Donald Trump himself appearing to completely reverse his position and encourage Republicans to vote for release in a post on Truth Social. And on Monday night, Jimmy Kimmel responded to the pivot.
“At least 50 Republicans are expected to break ranks,” Kimmel says in the clip above, which has forced Trump to now claim he is in favor of releasing the files, after nearly a year of saying he did not want the files released. “After a year of stalling, avoiding, and intimidating members of his own party, last night, suddenly, Trump completely changed his stance. ‘As I said on Friday night,’ he wrote […] “For the sake of the fake news media, House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.”
“‘We have nothing to hide.’ I have some bad news, there is no ‘we’. It’s just you, brother.”
Elsewhere, Jon Stewart was also unhappy with Trump’s attempt to turn the issue toward the Democrats.
