City Council member James Solomon faces former New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey in Tuesday’s runoff election. Mr. Solomon, who represents one of the most left-leaning and affluent parts of the city, earned the most votes in a seven-person race last month. Mr McGreevey, who resigned as New Jersey governor in 2004 after admitting an affair with a staff member, trailed him by about 2,600 votes in a race that decided who would lead the state’s second-largest city for the next four years.
