After collecting praise and a Grammy nomination for his solo album “Fox in the snow”Jason Isbell is returning to the UK and EU with his band, 400 Unit, for a series of shows in June 2026. The band’s previous tour in November 2024 included a show at the Eventim Apollo (known as the Hammersmith Odeon), which was reviewed by AUK’s Lyndon Bolton, who wrote: “The results, as presented tonight by Isbell and his first-rate band, left this reviewer once again with a feeling of extreme satisfaction. There can be few shows that engross and reward an audience the way Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit do.”
Isbell’s latest band album, “Weathervanes” (2023), there was a greater focus on performance, and the 2024 tour experience emphasized this with more jamming and a noticeably heavier sound. Recent set lists have included songs from the latest solo record, so it will be interesting to hear how the two elements of their current albums integrate into next year’s show.
During this time you can see the band playing ‘Gravelweed’ At the Winnipeg Folk Festival earlier this year in the video below.
