Jamie Lee Curtis is sharing a special memory my girl set.

On Sunday, November 30, the actress shared a behind-the-scenes video in which the cast of the 1991 film sang a remix version of The Temptations’ “My Girl” while talking about the film’s title change.

The film starred Anna Chlumsky, now 44, as Vada Sultenfuss, an eccentric 11-year-old girl coming of age in the summer of 1972 who also struggles with being a hypochondriac and being obsessed with death. Macaulay Culkin, now 45, played his friend Thomas Jay, who died of an allergic reaction to a bee sting. Dan Aykroyd, now 73, played her father, while Curtis, now 67, played her father’s girlfriend (and Vada’s future stepmother).

She shared, “I convinced the rest of the cast that we could shoot it in a small studio and the lovely Anna recorded it in a small sound booth. I thought I was the only one who had a copy of it. It was a gift from the crew that we gave to the group of amazing people who came together to make that amazing film.”

“How fun it was to see you today. The hot pants outfit was rejected by our director Howard Ziff and he was so right that it was wrong for Shelley to wear it for her interview at the morgue, but I had to wear it for the little video shoot.”

The video features Ann Nelson playing bass while Chlumsky sings. Aykroyd is on guitar, Curtis plays tambourine, while Culkin plays drums and Griffin Dunn plays keyboards.

In a recent interview with entertainment tonightCurtis talked about his memories of making the film, including praise for his young co-stars.

Watching a clip from the film, Curtis commented, “It’s emotional to me because they were so young,”

“I loved my girl“That was another beautiful, unexpected, beautiful little thing and an amazing character that I got to play,” he added, “I’ve played a lot of mothers, worked with a lot of young actors, and Macaulay and Anna were great,”
