It was exciting to have the original cast back. With the Wayans rejoining and Anna Faris also there – Brenda can’t live without Cindy. And this time she is no better friend to Cindy than before, even though they are still best friends. I think nostalgia and time made it feel right. It was a great time to do something so broad and fun. I read the script and thought, ‘This is fun.’ And I think it’s refreshing to do something a little bit irreverent right now.

[Jones] He’s not necessarily a team-up type of person. So the reason he comes back is because it feels like it’s so personal. She brings edginess and lightness – Daredevil can be very dark and dramatic, and she cuts through the BS in a really fun way.
