AAA spokesperson Aixa Diaz spoke with USA TODAY to give travelers tips on how to navigate the busiest Thanksgiving travel weekend ever.
United States stock markets will be closed on Thursday, November 27Will close early on Friday, November 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Both the Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange will be closed on Thanksgiving and will open on November 28, but will close early at 1 p.m. ET. The U.S. bond market will also be closed on Thursday and is scheduled to close at 2 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 28, according to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.
Wall Street will be trading normally through the end of December, after closing for the Thanksgiving holiday and the beginning of Black Friday. The next scheduled closure of the stock market on account of Christmas is on Thursday, December 25. Markets are also going to close early on Christmas Eve.

- Thank you note: Thursday, November 27 (markets close at 1pm ET on November 28)
- Christmas: Thursday, December 25 (markets close at 1 p.m. ET on December 24)
