Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced this feature a year ago.
Instagram has made it easy to achieve the grid design and aesthetic you want to achieve. The Meta-owned app has finally debuted the ability to rearrange your grid, nearly a year after Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced the feature was coming. according to USA TodayYou’ll be able to move posts around wherever you are in the world, no matter when you started them today. “We know it’s taken a lot of time, but we wanted to take the time to get it right,” Meta told the publication. We can confirm that we already have access to the feature.
The ability to rearrange the Instagram grid remains one of the most requested features on the app, and Meta had been planning to introduce it well before Mosseri’s arrival was announced last year. Alessandro Paluzzi, known for reverse engineering apps and finding undisclosed tools, discovered an “Edit Grid” option in the Instagram app in 2022.
If you’re tired of seeing your posts in chronological order and want to move things around, just go to your profile and long press any post. Along with “Pin to main grid” and “Archive,” you’ll now see an option that says “Rearrange grid.” Tap it to be taken to another window, where you can drag the posts to rearrange their content until your profile looks exactly how you want it. Keep in mind that any posts you pin will remain at the top of your profile and will be blacked out in the “Reorder Grid” window.
