Iconic ’90s Singer Gives Fans a Glimpse of a Rainy Rehearsal Ahead of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

In an intriguing new Instagram video, followers were able to get a behind-the-scenes look Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Artists can get experience before the big event.

90s music legends jewel prepared to perform on Thursday, and engaged with her fans in the back seat of a car while waiting out the rain with an umbrella for Tuesday night’s rehearsal.

“It’s a bit of fun and it’s also quite exciting,” says the artist, referring to the torrential rain falling outside the car. “And I can’t wait for you to see my outfit because it’s really cute,” the singer teases.

The cameras roll as the 51-year-old star is led through the soaking wet streets of New York City to her rehearsal stage. The singer makes the rounds to show off her fabulous look—a black pantsuit, gray turtleneck and, of course, a huge umbrella.

In a grainy clip, followers are given a glimpse of Jewel’s rehearsal, singing a verse of the instantly recognizable “You Were Meant for Me” while a group of fans danced in the background. It may have just been rehearsal, but her performance didn’t go unnoticed… 80s music icon debbie gibson Commented, “I heard your rehearsal girl! I was sitting in my car dry. Hope we get to say hi tomorrow xo 😊 You were looking great as always xo.” What a great example of artists supporting other artists.

Jewel’s performance will be one of many concerts 99th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Other artists include the latest pop sensation kpop demon hunter, singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw, and 70’s rock band Foreigner.
