Air Force went 2-5 in Mountain West Conference play and lost 20-3 to visiting New Mexico on Saturday night. Reagan Tubbs scored the Falcons’ only points with a 27-yard field goal early in the third quarter, as the offense totaled 161 yards and turned the ball over twice. Kemper Hodges rushed for 50 yards on 20 carries, while Isaac Hubert recorded a pair of sacks on defense.
Colorado State lost its fifth consecutive game and fell to 0-4 under Summers, falling 49-21 at Boise State on Friday night. The Rams, now 1–6 in the Mountain West, tied the game 7–7 in the first quarter before the Broncos scored the next 27 points to take control. Darius Curry finished with 293 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw an interception, with the Rocky Bears catching seven passes for 94 yards and a score. Owen Long recorded 12 tackles and forced a fumble, but the defense shredded for 533 yards.
UConn coach Jim Mora was announced as the new head coach at Colorado State earlier this week. The Rams attempted to retain the Rams-Falcons trophy for the second consecutive year after ending a seven-year losing streak with a 21–13 road win on October 19, 2024. Air Force leads the all-time series 39–22–1.
