A Fox 26 Tornado Warning has been issued for Saturday night through Sunday morning.

Line of storms from late Saturday night to Sunday

Currently, we have been issued a Level 1 out of 5 severe weather risk. There is also a level 1 risk of flash flooding.

This cold front that will bring a stormy night will leave behind a very wintry pattern.

After some rain/storms Sunday morning, the rest of the day looks bleak. Expect strong winds as cold air enters the Houston area behind the front.

concern about flash floods

Not only are we looking at severe weather concerns (low tornado, hail and wind risk) Saturday night, but we are also looking at the risk of flash flooding.

Inch of rain is expected in the next few days. Although the region is still mostly in drought and welcomes some rainfall, too much rain in a short period of time will lead to flooding of roads.

Stay safe and stay tuned to FOX26 throughout the day on Monday as blustery and rainy conditions continue.
