highguardA new multiplayer shooter from developers working on games like top legends And DutyIt launched just two weeks ago, but developer Wildlight Entertainment is already cutting jobs at the company, according to posts by affected employees on LinkedIn. Former Wildlight level designer Alex Graner says that “most of the Wildlight team” was laid off today, supported by former lead technical artist Josh Sobel.
“Today we made the incredibly difficult decision to part ways with several members of our team while retaining a core group of developers to continue innovating and supporting the game,” Wildlight said in a statement. “We’re proud of the team, the talent and the product we’ve built together. We’re also grateful to the players who gave the game a chance, and who remain a part of our community.”
This week, Riot Games also cut back on a major live service project, laying off about 80 people from a recently launched project. 2XKO fighting game is set League of Legends Universe.
