Google announces dates for I/O 2026

It’s official: Google I/O 2026 will take place from May 19 to 20. In an announcement Tuesday, Google says it will share “the latest AI breakthroughs and updates from Gemini to Android and other company products” during the event, which will be held in person and online at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California.

Like past years, Google I/O 2026 will include keynote speeches from company leaders, fireside chats, product demos, and more. Google still hasn’t shared the full schedule of its sessions, but the company is planning to kick off the event with a keynote address on the morning of May 19. You can also interact with a “Save the Date Experience” on Google’s website, which includes a series of minigames created by the company’s Gemini AI model.
