Google aims to take the sting out of scheduling meetings with a new Gemini feature

Google is bringing a Gemini feature which can prove to be very useful for many people. This is a Google Calendar tool that can help you find the best time to schedule a meeting while keeping attendees’ schedules in mind. When creating a meeting, you can click the “Suggested time” option and Gemini will see the availability people have marked on their calendars and potential conflicts. You will then be able to select from a list of suggested time slots.

But the timing you choose may not work for everyone. So if multiple people decline the meeting invitation, you can go to the event and reschedule. You’ll see a time when everyone is available and you can update the invitation immediately.

There are some catches here. Naturally, this will only work properly if the meeting organizers have access to the attendees’ calendars. It is also limited to paid users who are on Google Workspace Business (Standard and Plus) and Enterprise (Standard and Plus) plans, as well as those who have the Google AI Pro for Education add-on. This feature is now available on Rapid Release domains and will start rolling out to Scheduled Release domains on February 2nd.
