Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports that the Giants are ready to begin roster adjustments with nine days remaining until the free-agency negotiating window opens on March 11 (the new league year).
Veteran players eligible for the restructuring include defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, cornerback Paulson Adebo and defensive lineman Chauncey Golston. New York could potentially make substantial savings by restructuring these contracts – Lawrence’s deal to $8.85 million, Adebo’s to $8.14 million, and Golston’s to $2.04 million – all players are coming off the season in 2025.
Cuts could include kicker Graham Gano, linebacker Bobby Okereke and running back Devin Singletary, among others.
In terms of cap allocation and potential targets, the Giants have shown interest in marquee free agents, such as the Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III, who has a projected market value of approximately $9 million annually in free agency.
These potential moves reflect the team’s efforts to create flexibility amid a tight cap situation and a large group of impending free agents.
